Ive been working with drip systems the last 2 years. Im looking for a Hydro serup that needs less mainance. I would like to change my grow house is a few miles away and I cant seem to find the time to check it everyday. I just lost my two mothers do to dripper failer. Any ideas my clones will be ready for transplanting in a few days.
I like the ebb and flow. Have not grown anything with it yet, am working on that.
With all hydro systems there is maintinance. Hoses plug or come undone and pumps go out.
Wonder if I could watch my grow from my computer.Be able to turn the camera to a pic so if anybody else got on it all they would see is the pic? Or set alarms that would tell of a problem.

I use my conputer to watch the house Im using. I think others could to if they ran across the right band I guess thats the right word. If someone else found it they would see nothing to say where its located. I understand that all grows need maintinance Im just done with drippers and asking for insight on the next setup. The ebb and flow sounds like a good setup. I just dont understand how its working such as how the water is supplied to the plant. Ive not resreached them to well yet.

I use a linux project called zoneminder to watch my grow while I am not around.
Basically, you get a camera, point it at your grow, connect it to your computer, install and configure software, and then log into that computer remotely (with a secure username and password) and you can then watch the grow in real time. Zoneminder also does motion detection, so I have other cameras pointed at doors, windows, etc and if they sense motion, I am sent an email, with a snapshot of the movement.

Free software for the win!
nice!
I have a simple drip system. It's a tray that drains back into the rez. I have seven plants on it. They are crowded but I was able to leave for 8 days and have it automated the whole time without a problem. Here's a link to the show.
