OSX is like for retards
linux is a pain.
somebody needs to make a unix based simple os. no fucking candy or any bullshit. just pure function.

what about Ubuntu Linux?? - i could show you simple versions which run flawlessly on almost any computer.

google ubuntu, but i would go with mint linux. google linux mint. It's got everything ubuntu does like it is ubuntu but it's more tuned for working out of the box for more things. Good for people brand new to linux.

I havent had any problems with Vista. I dont understand specifically the problems people have with it. It is bulky but you can get it running the way you want with very little effort 
Id much rather have windows than a fucking apple thats for sure

Windows is unpolished and buggy on a day to day basis.
OSX is a gorgeous operating system that doesnt tend to show issues until your further down the road. But I think its BSD core is easy to get used to an Unixey.
Linux is easy as hell. Unless you have hardware conflict.
For the Record:
Sold my iMac in anticipation of new quad core 64 bit iMacs coming out at Snow Leopards release.
Have a Linux install that I use day to day.
Windows Vista SP1 for my web design.
As for creating a new OS with just 'pure function'. That meaning changes depending on what tasks you need to do.
Plenty of people run Linux without a window manager (just text in shell).
Some people need Adobe CS.
I think you want someone to write tailorded OS for you. But that what you can do on your own with Linux. Customize your distro.

i used to run linux before i got my mac, but it was too limiting.
too much of my work going into it.
I love osx, but i hate how there is this division in the hardware software market, so i am limited.
when will windows go unix so we can all be friends?
