Think about how much work has to be done to a building to properly perform a controlled demolition.
I doubt they would've been able to prepare the building, including running miles of detonation cabling and secretly installing the charges all over the building...all while it's business as usual.
Some big fucking planes ran into buildings, they were full of jet fuel. There's no way that scenario could've ended well.

its obvious that it was a controlled demolition when you watch it
in addition to the fact that it housed CIA offices, which is widely accepted as being sketchy as fuck
