If you look closely at Obama's position on the drug war, he manages to sound good without saying anything at all. A few years ago he says he supports decriminalization of marijuana, but not legalization (which means he's a retarded babboon who doesn't understand the arguments for legalization; supporting decriminalization without legalization is straight up retarded), and he's since backed off this position. He says that he wouldn't support the DEA raiding medical marijuana patients, but they aren't raiding patients, they're raiding dispensaries (and he's had nothing to say about that issue).
His virtual silence on the issue of drugs looks almost exactly like Clinton's stance 16 years ago, and of course Clinton escalated the drug war more than any other president in history.
Add to that the fact that Joe Biden is a zealot when it comes to the drug war, and the picture don't look too pretty... When his unconstitutional RAVE Act couldn't pass on its own, he tagged it onto the Amber Bill to get it into law, so selling glowsticks in a place where people could be expected to be doing drugs is now a federal crime. He also helped create the Office of the Drug Czar, and is one of the staunchest supporters of mandatory minimums for drug crime.
This issue has been hashed out several times in the Shroomery PD.

Nope, I'm neither paranoid nor a hippy. I've just been paying close attention to the candidates lately, hoping that one of them might convince me they're the lesser of two evils. So far, no such luck.

at least obama has at least suggested support of states rights regarding mj. no such stance, or even sign of such stance exists in john mccains agenda.
