Anyone get chest pains after smoking ?

When it happens its about 20 minutes or so after Im done smoking and then can come and go for an hour.  Ill be fine and then take a breath and get this stabbing pain to where I can't inhale and feels like I can't breath and then it goes away as fast as it came.

This is BATS's friend. I get chest pain and tingling on my face and arms when I smoke. Do you have any panic disorders/anxiety? That's what causes it for me.

Ended up having to stop smoking altogether but it's not that difficult when it causes that kinda shit to happen.

I'd get it checked out by a doctor either way.

Yeah, chances are it's related to the deep inhalations, not the actual smoking of cannabis.  Unless you've got a chill doctor, telling them you smoke weed is just a ticket to them writing your problem off as drug-related, rather than figuring out what's wrong.

I would bet its the deep inhalations too.  I get sharp chest pains every once in a while when I try to take a huge hit and hold it in.  Happens more often with vapor than with smoke as I can hold the vapor in much longer and inhale it much deeper.  I'm healthy enough that I don't believe it's heart problems unless its genetic.

Are you guys really arguing about the best way to smoke!?!

1. Personal Preference.
2. If you only hit a bong for a few months than switch to a vape it will get you FUCKED.
3. If you only vape all the time for a few months and hit a bong you get FUCKED.
4. Vapes have a very nice come up. Take the hit... mild tingle... a few moments later you realize you were just spacing out cause you're retarded from the hit.
5. Bongs can hit very nicely too but are a bit more harsh.

It all depends on what your looking for. And what you like. Getting high is a subjective experience that is a bit different for everyone.

Common sense tells me that smoking water based vapor is a lot more healthy than smoking combusted plant matter.  I don't need a study to tell me that, although I'm sure if you looked there are in fact studies on this, try google...

I have noticed many people dislike vapor.  I think because there is less peek and more plateau.  Some people like to get really fucking wasted high, vapor gives a more functional, much longer lasting, mentally stimulating high with a better come down when compared to burning the same weed.  Those that are high daily really enjoy the vaporizer because it allows us to be high constantly without having to take naps all day like I would if I was coming down off smoking a blunt or two.  That and it saves money.  You have to get a quality vaporizer though, the cheap ones add too much air too the vapor and you cant make it thick enough.  With the volcano I can make vapor so thick it looks like smoke.

imo those don't look like top notch genetics at all, looks like good plants grown from seed.  Top notch genetics are clone onlys and usually have better calyx to leaf ratios than the plants in those pics.

They do look to be grown very well though, which just proves the point everyone here is trying to make.  growing skill > genetics.  It's not like genetics wont make a difference but it wont matter much if you don't know how to grow is the point.  Most bomb (mids) were I'm at are from excellent clone only genetics from the bay that some idiot didn't dry or flush right making it taste like shit.  If its harsh its not dank.

Clone only strains are usually only slightly better than their seed versions.

seeds can capture any phenotype.
seeds can be just as stable as clones in a side by side comparision (clonez = no genetic variation, seeds 7 generations incrossed = 1% or less genetic variation)

I think you need some help with your reading comprehension...  I'll sum the argument up for you nice and simple.

My side:  imo grower skill is more important than genetics.  It's close, maybe something like 45% genetics 55% growing conditions, but I still think grower skill is more important for good dank bud.  I understand how some can say genetics are more important, and they are entittled to their opinion, but to continually say its everything and grower skill doesn't matter is incredibly ignorant.  At most it's 60% genetics 40% how it is grown, but I still believe how it is grown is more important.

Growing skills and method would effect THC content of a given strain by no more than 5% And I don't mean the difference between 15%THC and 20% THC.  I mean that if a strain produces on average 20% THC then growing method will only produce a 5% difference in that 20% that's a difference of 1% total THC content.

Growing technique has almost nothing to do with end result.  If you'd ever actually grown cannabis you'd know that it pretty much grows itself.

Provide water, nutrients, light and air and it'll do the rest.

Cannabis didn't evolve over millions of years relying on humans to coax it along, it does just fine as long as those four basic requirements are provided.

Proof of this is the fact that cannabis can be grown using so many different methods.

I think his issue is that he's looking at it from a different angle: If you don't give the plants nutes, they'll be shitty. If you overdo it, they'll get nute burn.

Does this mean that growing technique is more important than genetics? Of course not.  Genetics have much more to do with the plants final phenotype.

He's just getting hung up on the fact that it's possible to grow shitty weed from good seed by grossly mishandling it.

It wasn't naturally dank-weed either. You argue too much on an all or nothing basis. Strain is important. But how you grow it is a big part of the equation. Just because you are familiar with how to grow pot doesn't mean it is neccisarilly easy. It requires a certain amount of time and attention to be of decent quality.

So saying it grows itself would refer to the ditchweed you started bitching about in the  1st place.

I still say if I get seeds of mid grade level, they could be grown to be pretty potent. Maybe no Master Kush but still pretty good. On the flipside I could get seeds from some dank and fuck up on the nutes and burn em or have trouble sprouting. There is a lot of variables that come into play.

You could throw some dank seeds in the Sahara and they would grow awesome. And no matter how much care bagseed will turn out like shit.

If you read what he said in context without taking everything as a personal assault on your opinion it was pretty clear he acknowledged the strains importance in the end result. But growing is still a very significant factor.

Hindu Kush is going to be on my list of shit to grow asap.

You can plant seeds outside and come back 4 months later and find copius amounts of weed.. that means it's not hard to grow.

Does crossing strains even produce more potent plants? Potency would be genetic related, if you bred hundreds of short people with no recessive genes for tallness you wouldn't get any tall people, what's the difference with weed?

I don't think there is any.
