I am starting to improve my sleeping schedule
    #103212 -

Last night I went to sleep at 8PM. And I woke up at about 3:30AM this morning. That is an improvement. I am hoping to get to sleeping from 11PM to 6-7AM.

I wake up at 2:30AM tuesday - saturday for work.  I don't get up much later than that on the weekends. I guess that I enjoy mornings more than most people do.

I like to go drive around in the country and smoke while the sun comes up. It's my favorite way to start the day.

my sleep schedule/cycle has been kinda fucked lately too. last night i stayed up until 5am, but then made myself wake up at 9am so i can get to bed at a decent time tonight.

Staying up that late several days in a row has made me feel very foggy and not alert, as well as an overall reduction in general health/well being, not something i want to continue.

Ideally people are supposed to get 10 hours of sleep.

The military gives 5-6 to marines.

Hmm.

Most doctors I've talked to said it's very unhealthy to get under 6.

I've probably averaged 4hours of sleep a night for the last decade :P

I've recently discovered the worst thing for my sleep schedule is definitely the computer.  My computer broke and was down all of last week.  During that time I went from a crazy sleep schedule that had me waking up and going to sleep at different times every day to a nice even schedule.  Before this I thought it was the weed but I was smoking plenty those days. So I'd say if you are trying to sleep turn off the computer and switch on some shitty late night broadcast tv by 10pm or so.  The boredom will force you to sleep.

Also of course it always helps to have tired muscles so just a little weights or swimming/running earlier in the day will do wonders to help you get good long lasting restful sleep. I find swimming particularly great as its quick, easy, and fatigues all your muscles.  That doesn't seem to be your problem though as seven and a half hours of sleep is plenty of sleep.  If you do much more than 8 your sleeping too much and it can actually make you more drowsy.

I don't know why, but I CANNOT sleep if my computer is not on. I guess I am use to the drone and sounds weird when its not there.
