Does anyone know any good uses for male plants? It seems a shame to tear em' down and let them rot in the sun.

if they have desirable characteristics you can always to a cross to a female to get some seeds. you can pollinate only a single branch to yield a few dozen seeds, and leave the rest of your crop seedless. do this by shaking the male in a plastic bag. then put that plastic bag over a females branch and shake a bit.
if the male is of great genetics they can actually produce trichomes. if this is the case, you could make some hash from them.

yeah.. its all about cross breading and isolating a good mother to take cuts from... If you have some trainwreck clones, and some purple seeds that happen to grow a male, then you take the pollen from the purple and put it on the female trainwreck clone.. OBVIOUSLY you dont want to do it to all of them, otherwise you will have a bunch of shwag..
good news is, the plants that have seeds will have cross bred seeds.. then take the seeds, grow those, the pick out the strongest female to grow as a mother.. clone off that, and make lots of babies... its a lengthy process, but WELL worth it.. if you have 2 good strains to start out with, anyway..

HONESTLY, male plants have little to no use and provide you with an extra few weeks of work to bud. If you insisted on growing a male plant, which there's nothing wrong with doing, you can use the entire plant for culinary cannabis, or you can just call it super schwag. Of course, as said by Yrat, if it shows genes you desire, mate it!
