This is my first grow so i am no where near an expert. But if you are a bit paranoid about the big ballast setups or grow on the go I find the LED to be great. Low power use, high absorption, low heat. Great for smallish grows. Ive never seen someone use LEDs for anything more than a few plants. So people posting 1000W ballast setups to this going mines so much better. Im sure it is for what you use it on.
LED is great for people growing in a closet in a rental and are worried about being detected via heat or need for vents or power use. It has its applications just like MH does. *shrugs* just wanted to say that. Dunno if thats informative or just another place for debate to occur. lol.
