Grow versus buy?

An old question: Grow versus buy? What is your experience?
Given current prices for marijuana in Canada, 3.5CAD/g - 11CAD/g depending on quality and quantity, is growing indoor costing more then buying?

Both. But I support local and small starters only, I kick people in the nuts when they try to connect me to traffickers that don't even know what indica and sativa are.

Local and small growers should be supported. Since legalization, big players have pushed small companies out of market. A lot of stuff you buy now it's bone dry and so-so quality.
The question is more for marijuana's grow for personal use. What is the true cost of materials and electricity when growing indoor?

Youre asking for exact picks of tomorrows weather in three cities. Can't do it! My best advice if you want to save money and you want to plan out long term logistics, start small with plants. If you must buy flower from elsewhere while youre coming up you have to shop at your own discretion too, but bulk is always cheaper, concentrates also should always be cheaper too. Buy a single sack of regs once just to get some seeds then make hash or edibles with the rest of the flower. When youre starting out just 1-4 plants will stay very very small and manageable for at least a month. Even after that you want another month of wrighing them down and training them before flowering. Fem seeds are great to start with too just do not buy crazy expensive seeds starting or you stand to lose a lot more. A bag of happy frog soil and some perlite is a great place to start too. You can get away with cheapo lights starting out but in flower you want something strong if not the sun

Yup, it's probably a good idea to start with less expensive seeds until you become proficient in order to minimize the risks.
