I'm not ambidextrous, but I can write evenly with either hand (speed diminishes slightly with the left), I prefer to use my left hand when working with tools, and my right for pitching/punching.

That's pretty much how I roll, except writing with my right slows me down.
I use a fork, I use a pen, a paintbrush, a toothbrush, jerk it, umm not much else lefty.
I do everything else right. Bowling, pitching, scissors (might have been a forced learning thing), use a knife.
I swap up for hammering and sawing.
