Sugar injections for my plant?
    #780590 -

I just wanted to know, if anyone else here has tried injecting a plant with distilled water, with dissolved sugar? Because I did, and it seemed to promote growth, needlessly the plant was pulled by a neighbor. So I really didn't get to observe the effects, or follow up with another injection.

So I added about 50 grams of sugar to a cup of distilled water after boiling it again. Smoked a bowl while waiting for it to lose enough heat so I could inject the plant. I had already used the FIM technique more than twice, so the plant was kind of stunted. My reasoning for this was, the xylem uses osmosis to equally distribute any liquids in it. I would like to try again and monitor the long term effects of these sugar injections.
Partially because the root enhancer I have been using. It takes sugars from the plant and in return gives it nutrients it breaks down by using said sugars.

Here is what I saw after injecting fifty units of sugar water: Day one, minor bruise in injection spot(middle of the two tops). Day five: Bruising went away, it was followed by a bulge in one of the three tops. I started noticing accelerated growth, it was the largest plant I had on 05/05/15. I start to feed 1 month after planting, growth slows due to lack of water, and to much nitrogen, the plant became dark green with yellowing tips. I flushed the soil and about a week later it started to lighten up. So as far as I can tell it didn't do any harm sadly it got pulled the other day.

I would also like to hear about any experimental weed plants anyone may have had, and the results as well.

I have not injected anything into a plant before, just thought i'd mention if you do this experiment again take at least two clones from a mother plant. Give the sugar water to one and not the other as a control, that way you can see the difference. Make sure they get the same amount of light, nutrients and water if you can help it

I used to do it, the plants became dependent on the sugar and withdrawal was a bitch.

If they become dependent, maybe before the final flush an injection might help out the most. Or perhaps when you flush your nutrients the injection could also help, I don't know if this would affect the taste of the plant though.
