so i've been getting into cool indie games for awhile... nothing against AAA gaming; but indie games just are cool cause they show of the epitome of unique and innovative programming and gameplay and graphics... so BOOM!
check out Teleglitch! ( http://teleglitch.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page ) a sweet top down, survival/horror element, rogue-like game that's awesome and apparently pretty hard
and the free (just google it) SubLevel Zero; the Descent successor, with rogue-like elements and pixel graphics!
check it out (and remember google it, go to the site, DL it and play it yourself!)

like check this awesome resource game that fucking rules.
danke. yeah, it's ridiculous. i don't know how anyone can keep up with resources games, because i am dum, but still, i admire the effort it takes, and the concept of the game is obviously wicked. that Kerbal Space Program game is sick too; you know it's gotten a pass by scientists at NASA and other space programs as the closest any game has gotten to real world physics understanding, and is actually extraordinarily close to a realistic setting. whilst being just a charming fun little game about little people travelling space.
lol, cool. lots of cool small studios and indie developers nowadays, and so many different games being done, and that sometimes are practically unheard of on a wide scale... it kinda blows my mind; but i'm glad that that's the way it is. it just means more people have to make games like that that are small, but interesting, and then by that merit, bigger games, more popular games, have to be better and more interesting too. so it's a win-win.
