 i spent the past 3 hours working on this... DONE!

i forgot to rotate them so you might have to turn your head
andy wants to be a knight for halloween so i thought id make him a helmet to go with his costume, which is fucking sick!
i went through a stack of cardboard, a stack of paper, a couple pencils, 3 tramadol, and close to 15 grams of kratom.
the one in the pic is actually the second one. my son was squirming around on the first and i wasnt able to get proper measurements.
im still not done though. i need to make the back and neck guard and im also going to add a bunch of detail to make it look more realistic. once everything is said and done im going to spray paint to match is armor costume.
i take more pics tomorrow.

All that's left is the paint. I'm going to spray a flat black spray paint and then once its dried, a silver metallic.

if you pick up some fiberglass resin from home depot (around $15)
you can coat the card board and make it hard like plastic

before, it will soak into the paper and make it ridged
it can also be sanded if you need to remove a bump or something

I used 5/8 plywood but in hind sight I whish I used something a little thiner

Well its all finished. Ill take pics a bit later, but I'm making another one, a better one.
I thought I could cover some of the edges with masking tape to help with smoothing some of the cardboard edges, but it looked dumb as shit after I painted it. You could see the tape lines and what have you so I ripped off the tape and re painted it. There are parts on the flat surfaces that are no longer smooth due to the tape pulling up and it doesn't look quite that cool.
The one I'm working on now is going to be 10x better! I'm cited! This shit is fun.
