 16 quart cube grow

So I am gonna be doing two monotub grows this time around. I will be using 16 qt of WBS that has been soaking in coffee water. The substrate will just be coir and verm. The strain I am using is PESA via Liquid Culture.
Lets git er done.
The LC I am using is over a year old. Think its time to make a new one.

Well I lost 3 jars as they contaminated (was faded and I think I cross contaminated when I inoculated). The rest are doing good with really aggressive mycelium. Gonna spawn some on friday and wait for the rest to finish up.

Well I just spawned 6 quarts to a coir and verm substrate. Gonna spawn the rest (7 quarts) sometime this week.
It's all downhill from here.

Thanks. And coffee is suppose to stimulate myceliums growth and overall production. Some people use spent coffee grounds in their substrate but I find that leads to contamination most of the time
so I just soak the grains in coffee water and get good results.

Ok this is a slightly stupid question but how do you produce the coffee water?
Literally boil some coffee up and use the water or do you drop some coffee beans into water and proceed from there?

Pretty much man.
I use 2 cups of coffee and just pour it in maybe 8 quarts of water.

Well the tub finished up a two days ago but I waited for it to finish up in 1 or 2 places. Also noticed some mushrooms poking through. They should take off once I give them sufficient FAE.

hell yea man. very nice. i havent grown mushrooms in at least a year and a half. i just PCd 7 jars last night. i'm about to inoculate them with a couple different strains. i'm only doing 2 tubs, so nothing too crazy.

Well I just started on tub #2. Should take 7 days or so to colonize.
Flush #2 on my first tub is coming along nicely as well. I dunked it two days ago.

Well just finished drying flush 2. 47 grams in all. Well so far I got a little under 4 and a half ounces from 6 quarts of spawn. Hopefully flush 3 finishes before I get trich.

Well flush 3 is underway. There are a few mature ones and some that are just pinning.
I also plan on fruiting my other tub with 8 quarts of spawn tomorrow.

DK is it possible to do a step by step (in detail) on how u do it from start to finish (with pictures)
I got all the supplies pretty much to do a mush grow, but there are so many different tec;s I dont know what one to follow....
if i got 1/2 as much as you id be happy

Thanks. And I usually take 5 or so no more. 14 seems like way too much imo  . I once knew a dude who ate a quarter of pan cyans and freaked out and ended up in jail after running around his neighborhood naked.

Yeah I'll do a step by step tek and post it here when I do my next grow. And I just finished up flush two #2 on tub #2 so after flush #3 I'll post how much I got. The first tub yielded a little over 4 and a half ounces from 6 quarts of spawn.

Well flush #2 is done. Yielded 185 grams or a little under 7 ounces.
Dunked it yesterday and waiting on flush #3.

How do you dunk your mono? I have 10 qt of wbs colonizing now and gonna do a couple tubs.

I put it in the tub and fill it to the bottom holes. Then I use something flat about the size of the substrate and put two 5 lbs weight on each side to keep it submerge. I usually dunk it for an hour or so.

Do you use an incubator at all? I know theres info out there "debunking" incubation but back when I was growing a lot (pftek) I used a tub in tub at 80 degrees F and would achieve full colonization in as little as two weeks. Just wondering what your thoughts are since youre a shroom grower.

Nah I never used it just because you have a greater chance of getting a contamination. If you really have to you want it at the right temp (about 72) and make sure there is airflow to get rid of stale air. My tubs usually take a week to colonize after I spawn them.

Well I only ended up getting 2 flushes on the second tub. So all in all I got a pound from both tubs. Pretty good imo.
