i played one at walmart the other day. it was some mario game. old school side scroll style. badass to say the least. i love mario,zelda and dk games. i wasnt a big fan of the all the controller motion of the wii, so i never bought one. the wii u doesnt seem like its used nearly as much. id really like to play some new nintendo classics but dont want to be waving my hands all over the fucking place.
any of you guys own one and how much motion is involved?

I have an original but its hacked so I have all the games. It can be fun at times...

Yeah, I definitely suggest looking into getting a softmodded original Wii. I pick them up for $20 all the time...thats what gamestop offers people which is a fucking joke.
It's extremely easy to softmod them and install emulators for all the old school systems.
I'll get a Wii U one day, but I'm waiting for the price to dip to about $200. I can't justify spending more on it in my mind, especially when the games worth playing will never drop below $40 :/

Oh fuck yeah. I have all the way up through PS1 including arcade shit. I do let's play videos of retro games for youtube, I've done a handful of them so far and doing more every day.
Doing Metal Slug for NeoGeo right now actually.
Edit: Never played Metal Slug series, holy fuck, I guess I understand the hype. I "spent" $10 in quarters beating it haha.

Did you set up the bios right and shit? Its a little different than other emus since it can't be distributed with the bios unless you get it somewhere shady.

I got the ps1 to work fine. Only difficulty was the video settings.
I had trouble with the ps2. My gpu sucks though so I'm thinking that might be the issue. Slow game play and it has the ghost background.
