Sittin' here day dreamin' of spring!
    #716206 - 02/19/14 11:53 AM (10 years, 1 month ago)

im cruising some of the seed sites and getting my schnit together
I myself am a pretty effective outdoor cultivator but have never attempted the scale of which ill be getting down this year
im gonna do bout twenty feminized seeds and sit on em through the year and baby em
ill also be doing it ORGANIC
I would like to discuss soil prep and what would be good to haul into my site
im thinking a bale or two of peat moss, some blood and bone meal, gypsum, lime, etc.
what are some good brands of material that would be good cause some of that soil comes with some water in it and I gotta carry that stuff
im thinking a bale or two of Promix??
lets bounce a few ideas off each other

im really looking forward to this excursion cause I love being in the woods
ill also be looking for ginseng and such
I sure would like to bank a knot this year
feel me??

im thinking
(10)fem "Money Maker" from Strain Hunters
(5)fem auto "AK 49" for the jones mid season
(3)fem  "Jack Herer" or "Black Diesel" or "Blue Cheese" or or or or haha I cant make my mind up
but the last three will something special for my personal stash

I long for the REAL skunk or the Diesel we used to get from the Bronx

the folks throw in a couple freebies to total (20) seeds

ohh and hello  I hail from the shroomery and just thought I would peek in and check out the folks over here

ive done talked myself into strict organic except for one important thing

those goddamn muthafuckin sumbitchin bugs

im all about the liquid sprayable sevin and have been for quite some time cause it fucking works

but I can maybe be talked into checking something else out if someone was convincing  enough???

I really really want to keep it organic

and don't anybody suggest neem cause it don't work round here

we get em thick in the middle of summer

I like Avid.  It's not organic, but it actually fucking works.

hey finally somebody

just when I thought there was nothing but smokers on here haha

yeah ive done seen that stuff too and it looks good

the only problem I got with liquid sevin is that it turns the plant fairly white till it washes off  making the eye in the sky's job easier:thumbdown:

Go with avid.  Just bear in mind you don't want to use it past the first couple of weeks into flowering.

believe ill pass on that stuff
I don't doubt that it works but that systemic stuff is scary for any kind of edibles/smokables
believe ill get that Bayer Natria 3in1 and run with that and if it don't get er done Ill break out the tried and true liquid sevin

check this out
will be picking up tomorrow

(2) bales of faford peat moss
(2) bags of harvest nutifibre compost
(1) bag of harvest potting soil--seedling starting
(1) bag sta green vermiculite--seed germinating
(1) 8lb bag of espoma garden or plant tone--not decided which yet
(1) 32oz bottle of alaska fish emulsion
(1) 32oz bottle of alaska morbloom
(1) similar size bottle of seaweed extract--not decided which brand

all less than a bill

sound good???

reckon I can get about 20 holes out of it
ill be amending some pretty decent black mountain dirt
the stuff is already full of worms  and has that "ball" structure/texture to it like worm castings IOW it aint red clay

ive grew every year for bout 15 years but never on this scale

hopefully ill have some jerk worthy porn for yall this season

ohh and I already have enuff lime and gypsum
from my :mushroom2: projects of course

Grew some G-13. Drying it in my garage my SO told me we had a skunk living there! (Sorry, babe. No such thing as a skunk trap ['cept my lungs!].)

Here are some ideas I had about water:
Plastic that holds your bales can be recycled as a rain catch, funneling down into an old bucket or something.
Twigs and leaves can cover most of it and it will still catch and direct water, just gotta be creative.
One of the best tips I've heard says to spread the plantings out randomly, much harder to spot.

How are you gonna manage not being spotted with all that stuff?
Are you growing on public or private land?
