Where do you believe we go when we die... I believe we only get 1 shot at life and after your numbers up thats it. I believe in the term rest in peace, because after you die i believe we all get a heavenly eternal sleep, kinda like nodding on heroin

I believe there are more forces and fields in existence than we perceive in the physical realm, which our brain filters out.

When your brain is turned off the other fields and dimensions can be consciously experienced, depending on how in-tune you are with it.  You can reincarnate at the same level, ascend to higher levels, descend to lower levels, or just not experience much at all until you once again realize you are conscious.

Expecting to experience a different state of consciousness when you're dying is the first step to being aware of what you can experience when you're "dead."

The closest to an eternal spiritual effect you're going to find in the afterlife are the infinite reactions that the actions you have taken during your life are going to have on the universe.  If we every get out of the solar system, those repercutions will be much more widespread.
