Never failed. I would go to a show/fest and as soon as I was actually tuned in to the music someone would pop in to turn me on.
Even happened within 3' of front doors of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland when Ken Kesey rode Further bus into town with the pranksters. The bus was going to be a part of a temporary psychedelic rock exhibit. Lots of bands played for free outside that day; although, only one I remember was Donovan. I was all giggly and shit when he was singing Mellow Yellow.
