I never did it but its easy...
What RCs are you planning on using?
I've heard marshmallow leaf and damian leaf are good.
Syrian Rue is awesome, especially for making changa, if you are looking for an MAOI, and not to add any RCs.

I used to make 124g of spice for overall around 60 bucks. The spice was very easy to customize and save money with the am2201. Just use around 5g per 4oz of am and you can add other jwh's to customize the high.

I did one batch on marshmallow leaf.
I just threw out 2 g of 022 powder. Almost saved it but fuck that
