i planted a bagseed about 2 or 3 weeks ago, shes about 5 inches tall, but when i put my nose up to the middle of the plant i can get a good wiff of weed! what the hell is going on? there isn't even any full fan leaves yet , what should i do? she is only going on natural light and i can't get artificial lighting for several reasons.. what should i do?

A MJ plant will smell when its vegging and will smell even more when its flowering.

Unless you construct a green house type enclosure with a fan/carbon filter then you will smell it... if its outdoors and only one then it shouldn't be to bad until flowering. Once it begins flowering then you and any close neighbors will probably smell it often.
People have suggested before to plant a ton of aromatic plants near by or a bunch of tomatoes could help mask it a little.

Some very good breeds are known to have a strong scent even before
buds are forming. You should do well. :0)

thanks, i was getting worried, see this is my first grow and i just thought because my mates plant didn't start smelling until the hairs started to show.. thanks alot everyone!

also, any tips on getting rid of the smell? im growing on a windowsill soo:P kinda hard i think, putting her outside when she starts flowering but just in the mean time

Ona products are suppose to be really good at neutralizing odor.
If you have a vaporizer you could try adding some herbs and essential oils and allow that to aromatize your house.
You could have a pot full of herbs constantly simmering on your stove top.
Lysol, air fresheners, potpourri, BBQ, cook bacon, cleaning products, candles, burning incense, cologne, burning hair

haha I know some people who would find the smell of burning hair less offensive then the beautiful smell of cannabis... I guess a lot of the world has just conditioned themselves to absolutely hate the smell of cannabis.

yep, i live with my mum, she is completely against drugs, i probably shouldn't have started growing in my mums house but i really can't afford to move out right now + there is no where in my area to move to anyways, i just thought since i have a seed i might aswel plant it (strawberry kush)

well open your window to let any smell from the plant out and when its dark just put her in your closet best advice i can give or if you have some woods near your house that no one goes near plant her there.

haha yeah, each day that passes she is getting more and more smelly:D i'm probably going to build a mini greenhouse just so she's away from the house but so rain and stuff won't effects her

I found my odor answer here.
There is a DIY carbon filter tek that has gotten me through two
grows, and is halfway through the third.
