I got it today and I can honestly say it lived up to all of my expectations, which were pretty fucking high, looks like I know what I'm going to be playing for a while. Any of you get the game? We should get a squad together  Add me on Xbox Live, Cage 916.

I don't even know or care what the fuck a hipster is  , I've been playing Halo since the first game, and it's an awesome game so I still do.
I would play Team Fortress myself but my laptop is just below passing the requirements, it's gonna have to wait until I build a desktop.

I have both a modded console too, but there's no way you're gonna get online on a modded Halo 4 and not get a console ban, that's why I have a legitimate console with legitimate games also.

You can play halo 4 on a modded xbox online just fine.
(the only people who got banned were the people who were playing halo 4 early before the official release.
You just need to have your FW up to date, use the IHAS burner with burnermax FW, and also stealth patch your games with ABGX 360.

just played online tonight for the first time, and here are a few thoughts
1) i absolutely hate the fact that i can't pick up grenades from my teammates. it doesn't give a good gameplay experience. nor is it realistic. I realize there is a perk for that but i don't think it needs one.
2) i feel like a lot of noobs are playing, or maybe gameplay strategy has switched? but almost no one uses the BR, and in the past that was the only weapon hardcore player used.
3) i don't like them switching weapon technology like that one 3 shot/1 shop weapon.
4) i guess i'm old fashioned but i don't like the perks. i never liked them in call of duty either. it confuses me. a lot of them seem really situational and i don't like taking my finger off shoot. i see some people use them to their advantage so i know they work, but it's just not my style i guess.
5) they don't have a button setup i like. the one im using is OK but i would like shoot at RT, reload at RB, grenade at RT, switch grenade (which i haven't been able to do yet, but im sure i'm doing it wrong) at RB, switch weapon at Y, melee at B, crouch at X, jump at A, zoom at right pad down, run on left pad down.
mainly because i want to be able to run and turn at same time, and reload with RB.
6) not only grenade pickups, but the dynamics in which they are thrown are way different as well. in where/how far they are thrown, and how they bounce. Grenades were a *huge* part of my game in 3 so i was sad to see that change.
all in all though it's a solid game, with amazing graphics, and i was happy to maintain a above 1 K/D on my first night with no experience on a FPS in a 2 1/2 years or so. This game may grow on me, but it's definitely missing a couple key things for me.

You are on xbox live right? not ps3 network?
I will have to create a gamertag and everything. I have an xbox live card but never got around to setting it up.
The only games I have are sports games and I like playing off-line just as much as I do online. I was saving my subscription card for a game like this.
ACTUALLY, I might just get the new Call of Duty, that was always my best shooter game. I am pretty sure the new one comes out 11-13-2012.

I dont do the whole hacking games thing. I always just wait until they come out and buy a hard copy. If I cant afford the game, then I go without.

Modding your console is so worth it. 1 brand new retail game is equivalent to 50-60 burned games.
