 3rd Outdoor grow question

First post in the growery (usually just a shroomer).
I have grown weed outdoors for the past 2 years.
Both years i have planted it late so it only reached a height of 60cm.
I am unaware of the strain as it has come from a mate who doesn't have a clue and has been growing it for years (for MS) but it is the same as previous years.
I was wondering if there is any way in keeping the plants small (through trimming a certain way or growing horizontally) that people could recommend.
They are situated in a semi populated area and would be noticed if they grow to more than 1.3m high.

Yeah i figured i just didn't know what to search.
I searched "keeping weed short" etc but didn't really like the results.

last year i grew in my garden in the back yard.
planted my babies right in the middle of my tomatoes.
al i did was tied em down, so they grew horizontally.
produced a bunch of vertical shoots,
that never got taller than my maters.
