You obviously don't know how to grow purple. It's a temperature reduction which causes them to turn purple.

I've never heard that before.

The only colour change I've seen was over time (maturity) and from nutrients - light fan leaves = low nutrients and dark (purple) leaves = nutrient burn

It looks like the strain naturally develops purple color, although it doesn't look like a lot, its still pretty cool. :grin:

It isn't only temperature reduction that causes plants to turn purple - some strains naturally turn that color.

This isn't true. Leaves that turn purple/red due to a reason involving nutrients are exhibiting a phosphorus deficiency. Different nutrient deficiencies are shown by the plant in different ways; this formula of yours is not at all accurate. Coda posted a great article on nutrient problems you can find here.

The only thing I've heard of with over fertilized plants regarding color change is nitrogen causing a dark green color.

What time in the grow was it, late flowering? Do you remember what was being used as nutrients?

seriously that grow was so fucked.

the plants were abused I think he flowered for like many months.

the whole grow was like 5months... he's pretty not smart.

Well, if the leaves were turning red/purple like that, it was probably later into flowering, because that's when they really want phosphorous and if he didn't know what he was doing he probably didn't have nutrients adjusted for flowering... :shrug:
