Hey guys. Just got going on my first Tree of the outdoor season for flordia.
got about 6 seeds planted. One girl ( for the sake of luck)
Did great. Shows some early signs of bieng a girl.
others werent viable. and a few root rotted.
Ph in 3 gallon pot is between 6.5 and seven.
Plant is at 4 weeks from sprout. about a week into true vegging.
have her in full sunlight from sun up to sundown.. around 11 hours here in fl currently. ive got her set up on a cheap solar powered probe, that measures light.. ph. and soil moisture at root level.
I will be leaning on you guys for support for sure during my home grow outdoor.
And will also be about 2 weeks out from a 30 + plant gurilla grow 5 miles from my home.
im supplimenting nutrients, just by adding a few drops of superthrive per quart of water. Im pretty sure that my soil is good on nutrients, i created it from old potting soil ( surely no nutrients in it)
but i composted it with a head of chopped green lettuce and some chopped carrots, for a month before transplanting into the soil, and some perlite mixed in, mixing it every 3 days prior to the transplant.
I know superthrive isnt getting good reviews but it cant hurt in such low doses, can it?
How often do i need to check ph?
My well water is at 6.5 soil is at 6.5-7 roughly 6.8
is that sustainable or do i need purified water?
leaves all look nice green no obvious ploblems yet.
once i get pics, and in another 3 or 4 week (danger time over)
ill move into grow log.
Seeds were from potent bagseed. high mids.
Plan to clone her as well. I have her bent on lst and about 4 tips starting upwards.

also,
will it hurt that i dropped her straight into 3 galon pot from a seed starter pot? stretch root?
I water her every 4 days or so.. at about 8 am with about 6 ounces of water. small amounts.
i water when the soil is dry on top and only barely damp in about 5 inches of depth.
My soil dampness tester is 1-10 scale. after this rain last night my girl is at 9. Ill check her at end of day hope she goes down to 7 or 8. that should show me what kind of soil capacity im working with, know?
Ok ,, till tonight with more info.
Ill be looking for tips on my lst.

Good luck man. I got a little outdoor project started my self. Didn't do half the work you did I said from the get go I'm just basically putting into buckets and letting them be. I'm sure your extra work will pay off  ill keep checking in your thread.

These are Pre-Beginning My low stress training.
Ill post tonight With the LST for advice. I Tied Her off were The Bottom 2 nodes have began, they have turned up, so another week they should be vegging good.
Hey ph today was about 5.0-6.0
I dont have chemicals atm for ph up.
whats the minimum acceptable ph for me to have,
and whats some home methods of ph up and down?

Baking soda works well for pH up.
You want to tie down the top of your plant by the way.

Yep Thats what i did. right below the uppermost leaf nodes.
Maybe that didnt come out clear.
Baking soda. thanks. How should i go about measuring amounts?
Sprinkle a teaspoonover top and water thourogly after next watering?
whats optimal ph? 6.5 ish?
ill post pics of my lst setup tonight.
My plan is once these 3 nodes start upwards,,, to
lst the n ew nodes after 3 or 4 start..
effectivly producing about 10 growth tips.
Wish me luck guys.
im assuming the second LST will be in about 3 weeks.
I Will un tie the main tip once the others wiegh it down a bit.

You want to add the baking soda to your water to raise the waters pH. So are you saying that your soil pH is around 5-6? Or the water that you are giving to the plants.
Your next tie down will be when a side branch pops up and starts taking over growth for the main shoot.

Oh also...
I have 2 14 watt CFl.
Would it help at all to accelerate vegging if i had it full sunlight for 11 hours and 28 watts isolated to 1/2 sq foot for the night, indoors with a fan system?
Would it be any help at all or completly useles.
Im considering this for only night times here in fl.
What ya think.
( another week i should have a 250 watt cfl hopefully )
should i just wait for it? or should i be patient with the 11 hour natural light cycle?
I DONT WANNA HERmie it up with wierd light cycles, know?

Well if you're only in the 11 hours of natural light at the moment the plant it going to start flowering. Definitely supplement with CFL or go solely with CFL.

water ph is about 6.3 from the well.
Soil ph tested in at 5.5-5.8 and six a little deeper.

Raise the pH of your water to 7. Keep watering at that level and that will slowly raise the pH of the soil.

Im on floridas natural light cycle right now. so maybe up to 13 hours lightk, its hard to tell

I don't see any signs of preflowers at this point.
Yes that should keep it from flowering.
