So I've only used ebay like once or twice, and those time I was just buying shit, it was relatively easy, convenient and had no troubles.
Other than these occaisons I have never used or really known much about it.
So I'm wondering is it a quick/easy way to sell some uneeded shit and make some cash? Or is it more of just a hassle that you wanna use every once in a while for some extra money.

I hate selling shit on ebay. you're better off with Craigslist. the buyer protection policy on ebay fucks casual sellers. they put your money on hold until your item gets to the seller. sometimes 21 days.
if you do go for it, make Damn sure you get a tracking number for everything. if not, any asshole can say they didn't get the package. I had someone do that to me. lost my game and the money. so lame.

If you sell something then take multiple photos and clearly state the condition of it so they can't make any shitty complaints. Do what Rasjeph said too and make sure you get a tracking number for it.

They take %10 of any final value of the item, just sold $300 worth of stuff on there and had to pay them $27 plus a listing fee of $2-3.
