when you like a song, do you play it on repeat?
over and over for hours and days...
(or is it just me)

Rarely. Sometimes a song is so good I'll just keep listening to it.

That happens to me all the time.

Some songs weren't meant to be played over and over, I have a specific few songs/albums that I play only a few times a year. Overdoing it would ruin the experience for me, like having cake only on special occasions but never once a day or the whole cake at once.

I really really try not to. I add them to my youtube favorites and when I have 10 or more I make a CD to put in my car. Then I listen to it until it gets old and by then I usually have a new one.

I try not to, but sometimes there are those gems that I just can't stop listening until I get as many doses of it as I feel are necessary, then I usually end up taking a break from the particular track until I either think of that song or forget about it and stumble across it again in my list.
For the most part though, I try not to get stuck on the same songs, I have wayyy too much music (250+ GBs on this laptop alone), so I try to get some of it sorted each day. Currently it's Bassnectar's discography
Also, sometimes repeat will be on by itself for some reason on iTunes, sometimes when I'm busy doing something online and/or stoned I might end up listening to the same song over and over until I finally start to wonder WTF is up after the same song starts for the 10th time..

I cant do it with the same song played twice in a row, I usually listen to a new album for a couple weeks/months/years depending on my musical mood. The last album I listened to over and over was Black Keys brothers in 2010. Lately I've been listening to all my old classic rock cds that I loaded onto my itunes.... besides that I've been on a hardcore punk and 80s-90s experimental kick for a few years now. You have to cycle through good music so you dont make it stale by over listening IMO.

LOL I was at a party once and the ipod playing music was stuck on C.R.E.A.M. or Wu Tang Clan Ain't Nothin' To Fuck With for like a half hour. I noticed but didn't mind since a lot of douchebags were there and wanted shitty music. Eventually someone was like "WUT" and changed it.
Maybe it was a "had to be there" thing.

There have been times where I listen to something on repeat for too long. You know when it's too long when it's too long. It can fuck with you, especially on DMT.
