antibiotics after tooth extraction ? ? ?
    #611844 - 03/06/12 06:45 PM (12 years, 24 days ago)

I just had my eye tooth pulled, the dentist gave me some pain pills and an antibiotic to take
I really don't need the pain pills and don't believe that the antibiotics are necessary

Their was no infection in the tooth, it was just cracked
I didn't have the funds to fix it, so I just had it yanked

Since it wasn't infected before pulling ...
I don't see the point in taking the antibiotic now.

Opinions .....

As for the pain pills...:crazy2:

Of course it's happening inside your head.
Why should that mean it isn't real?

Nah man, giving people antibiotics after surgery is just routine. Also to help fund drug companies.

I was given antibiotics after getting a root canal and never took them, however I had been on a regiment of another kind of antibiotic just a week prior for an infection that was in the messed up tooth so that could have been why I didnt need them

Yea, this is true, but are they needed for my recovery

or are they just prescribed to.....

I keep hearing about how Dr's tend to over prescribe antibiotics

So I ask myself, each time they are given to me, if they are really needed.

I'm going to go with ....

my immune system is in good shape and should fight off any infection I may get

if I feel puny in a few days I can always go get the prescription filled

See, that term pedo gets thrown around a lot.
Is a 16 year old guy having sex w/a 16 year old girl a pedophile?
If not, then how is a 30 year old considered a pedophile for doing the same thing?
I think y'all need to look up the definition for pedophile.

Its because antibiotics don't discriminate when they enter your body.

They kill both good and bad bacteria in your body.
