What would cause
    #599971 - 12/06/11 10:49 AM (12 years, 3 months ago)

some leaves to taco down? I have a couple leaves on 2 or 3 plants that are doing the exact opposite of a normal taco leaf.  Its doing this ^  if that makes sense.  the plants look overall in excellent shape along with the rest of my plants.  The one that has this problem the worst almost looks "sick"  but no signs of specific deficiencies and the problem is worse the lower you go on the plant. And like I said there are only about 3 plants that have this problem and on 2 of the plants is only on probably 1 or 2 branches of leaves

hmm well I have had an upward taco effect from not being aware of pH issues (I was adding a worm casting tea with a pH over 8) and it only occurred on my smaller plants at their oldest leaves...

Heat?

Of course it's happening inside your head.
Why should that mean it isn't real?

yeah, PH lucky for me is not an issue. Always been constantly around 6.8.

I thought maybe heat but its only a couple of them that have these symptoms and my light is around 2.5' to 3' away.  I check daily with my hand to check for heat stress atop the canopy but never anything.
Im confuuuuzzed

Hydro or soil?
Pictures would be helpful.

sorry was gone...

I would take some pics but no cam atm. :frown:

It looks almost exactly like an over water (but its not it was like this a day or two before watering)  along with the tacoing "down"  just literally imagine taco leaves flipped upside looking very sad

Hydro or soil?
Sounds like a possible ph issue, or even lack of light, could be over watering.
If you're using soil what kind?
Need answer to truly answer the question.

I had that happen b4, I bet its overwatering. It happened cause I forgot to drill holes in one of my pots. Make sure your drainage is good

FFOF soil.
But like I said it cant be over water because it was like this before I watered last which was about 4 or 5 days after the last water.

to little light?  Think I should lower the light?  I do have it a little higher just for any growth overnight.

Edit: every 5 gal bucket has 4 1/4" holes drilled in the botttom sittin on pot trays

I'd recommend putting 15 to 20 more holes in those buckets, also add 10 or more around the borrom on the side walls of the buckets.
Drainage is super important when it comes to soil.

As for the light height, didn't see what size/type of light you're using so I'll make this simple.
Flouros/cfls  2 to 8 inches off the tops of the plants
HIDs  7 to 20 inches off the tops of the plants.

Always be sure to use the hand test when setting light height.
This means use the back of your hand to check for heat at the tops of your plants, if it's hot to your hand then it's to hot for the plants.
