Transplant Question
    #598486 -

Hey guys,

Is it better to transplant your plants when the soil is moist or dry? JW

Thanks in advance.

I perfer to have the soil moist but if roots are well established it should hold soil together.

the day theyre ready for transplant, theyre ready

i dont do anything to them other than clean off the crap branches and if theres anything unhealthy

dont need to be dry, dont need to be wet. just however they are.

just make sure you water very evenly and thoroughly immediately after transplant.
not too much it causes rot, but enough that moisture, has evenly saturated a dry, or near dry medium.

using coir, with a little extra moisture, as a base in your medium will make transplanting that much easier to get even moisture. also, things like perlite, vermiculite, compost, etc will all help even out the moisture in your medium

by base i mean like foundation for medium, not the bottom of the pot.
you have bases like soil, and coco
and then amendments like perlite etc

Personally, I prefer it to be a bit damp. Simply because dry dirt on top always crumbles off and makes a fucking mess. If I can help it, I do it when they're wet.

Of course it's happening inside your head.
Why should that mean it isn't real?
