 A strange change

So I've been smoking for a little over a year now and around this time last year, me and some homie's were experimenting. We put Dr. Pepper in a bong like every stupid stoner does at some point in life, and learned the hard way that it doesn't make the hit taste like sweet delicious Dr. Pepper. I was the guinea pig (and of course the only one that did it) and my throat burned so bad, it was one of the top 5 worst feelings I've ever had so far. Before that day I could take big-ass bong, blunt or bowl hits with no problem, and even play a few go-arounds in Chicago (suicide, baseball, etc.) flawlessly. Ever since then my throat's been killing me whenever I would drag on a blunt too long or hit a bowl/bong for too long. I can't take half the hit I used to be able to take, and it's driving me insane. Does anybody know of a good remedy for this??? I would have posted something a lot sooner but... yeah.....
