Ideas for finishing my outdoor crop
    #591246 - 10/09/11 09:47 AM (12 years, 5 months ago)

Hey guys... It's been awhile, but I'm back to ask the masters for a bit of advice...

I've got a crop in my greenhouse this year.  They weren't cared for perfectly while I was on vacation and they're 2-3 weeks behind.

One of the plants in particular is a 6' tall extra dense indica which is just not finishing...
She's already suffering from some outbreaks of Bud Rot to boot, but I'm not ready to give up on her yet.

I would move her in to my 1000w indoor, but she's just too huge.  UNLESS, and this was one of my ideas, I maybe cut her down to size to fit... but would that be too much stress?

btw, I live in western Washington so it's definitely getting late in the season...

Any ideas would be appreciated..

~DT

If your weather is anything like ours (which I assume it is, because you're in the same area, just the opposite coast) leaving it outdoors during the day and hauling her in at night might be worth it.

Sure its a pain in the ass, but if its do-able, its a solution.

Of course it's happening inside your head.
Why should that mean it isn't real?

shitty, youre having trouble finishing a big indica, no?

they can be tricky

why do outdoor growers around pnw, and emerald triangle stick with sati dominant strains?

when the satis can flower for month(S), they can be harvested nearly anytime after 5-6weeks flower, all the way to 10-12 weeks flower. making "finished" more of a personal preference, as opposed to ripeness.
while the indi's are late to flower outdoor(maybe being typically indoor bred strains, and requiring a more dialed photoperiod to flower, idk  ) and even later, longer to finish up

it seems as if indica dominant strains have a hard time deciding to flower or veg, nearly every day of their lives

light depping on indicas in the PNW area seems almost necessary

hmm... bring her in at night?
Where would you put her, like in the closet or something?

Anyway,  I plugged in the heater and sprayed with neem, but the bud rot was continuing... So I started a bit of trimming and was really talking myself into letting the bottom half finish in my 1000w....

Also according to the microscope and a quick-dry nug she's not doing so bad.... 20% clear 80% cloudy
The only thing is, like you were talking about Just Me, she's pretty leafy and pistils aren't orangeing, like she was reluctant to flower in the first place....

Can you tell me a little more about light depping?  I think I'll have to look into it for future outdoor indicas

I plugged in the headphones and started trimming her on the spot in my backyard lol... Already took the main and another large cola from it....Here's a pic

She look finishy to you?  (Background is a trainwreck doing great... I can chop her whenever)
