That's a little weird that your seeing pre-flowers in veg.  It might have something to do with them being clones, eh.  Either way, the only thing I'd suggest doing is spreading your plants out a little, they are going to get 2-3x as big as they are before they finish.  You've got a really great grow btw.  I can't wait to see the harvest.

thanks, im really excited about this.

monday the power went out for about 5 hours... we never did change the light cycle, its been 24/7 until now. (we started the 12/12 today) think maybe that little bit of darkness was enough to get em flowering? of the bunch i think we have 2 confirmed males, the rest either are female or are too early to tell.

is there anything we could do with the male plants after we take em out?

Not weird at all.  That's why they are called pre-flowers.  They are suppose to occur during veg.  This is how you pre-sex your plants.

Both of those previous pics looked female to me.

couple more questions...

how important is the temperature? regulating the temp to anything consistent is proving to be a challenge... at night during the light cycle its been getting up  to around 78-82, and during the day when the light is off its getting as low as 65.

im thinking this is ok, mom is kind of worried. at what temps should we start getting concerned? obviously we dont want them to freeze, but other than that, are there specific temps we should shoot for?

also, when my moms friend came by he was on his way to work, then on to vacation, so couldnt really stay long. he also forgot to bring the fert for the plants. so i went down to the grow store and picked some up. worried more about over doing it than under doing it, i got one with an n-p-k of 2-6-6. plan on starting with it tomorrow. this should be ok, right?

I think your temps are fine. A little high on the light half of it, but 65 is a perfect dark-stage temp. 74-78 is what you want to shoot for during the light-stage. It you start going over 85, then you need to be worried about the heat...

I'd pop a dehumidifier in there now that you are going into flowering.  You don't want mold.

do you have any fans blowing up at the light directly?
just put more fans in there. it will definitely help out tremendously.
u might want to try that and see if you can get the temp down a few degrees.
if not, like stated, you should be fine where you are at.

so one of the little laides is lookin a bit sick. a couple of the older larger fan leaves were drooping pretty heavy, with some discoloration and spots. the way they were hanging, they were disrupting the newer growth so i just clipped em off... im thinking its some kind of mineral defficiency. which is weird, because we just started with the fert a couple of days ago. pura vida bloom, 2-6-6.

any thoughts?

i bought this to test with...

and all the levels checked out. pH was right around 7, the rest of them fell in the "sufficient" range on the testers.

Soil needs to be 6.5pH

You may have nute lock out.

Edit: Flush with 6.5 pH water and retest. Should do the trick.

worked like a charm.

ill update with some new pics in a couple of days... they are maturing quite nicely. only one male out of the bunch, well maybe 2. theres one im not sure about yet, a late bloomer. the male has been removed from the grow room, debating on what i should do with it. my mom wants to keep it as a house plant.

Lol, it'd made a good house plant.  But you still run the risk of it pollinating your crop.  I suggest you put zip loc bags on it and let it open up in a seperate room so that you can collect the pollen and use it for a later grow to get some of your own seeds.  Just be careful to keep it away from your current crop, as you want sinsi I'm guessing.

group shot

my moms friend suggested we cut out the lower bud sites to promote growth in the upper buds. he says otherwise we will end up with "popcorn" buds. im wondering if this is just a case of preference, or if it is actually better to trim up the plants a little?

some baby buds

and i just like the way this one came out...

starting to finally warm up a bit, enough to where hot temps became an issue. a slight modification to a window ac unit was in order.

works like a charm.

updated group shot

and a couple close ups. makes me wish i had a better camera.

I'd just pop some lights on the lower branches.  The popcorn buds add up towards the end, and they are perfect bowl stuffers.  I'm glad too see your grow coming along so nicely.
