A disembodied whistling

Have you ever heard a disembodied whistling while high, tripping, or meditating? I first became aware of the other day when I smoked marijuana and fell into a psychedelic haze, and then I again heard it today while meditating.

I have, and it's something people have put a lot of thought into.
Next time you're meditating, focus on that sound and raise it's pitch. Push it higher than any sound you've ever heard, higher than the "human hearing limit". There is a limit to the frequency of sound we can hear, but is there a limit to frequency of vibration we can imagine? I think not, and starting with a sound seems natural. Push the vibration higher and it goes past the limits of sound, into what we perceive as light and feeling.
It will get louder, more intense, you will feel it emanate through your body as intense waves of pleasure. You will see flashes of light, patterns similar to psychedelic closed-eye visuals. Divide and multiply your attention so that you are paying full attention to the sound and raising it's pitch while also watching and observing the effects you're feeling in your body.
So the trick is; maintaining divided attention to produce a transcendent vibration in your mind while observing the sympathetic vibrations emanating through your emotional and physical body. It's kind of like a psychedelic orgasm.

It's a definite whistling, not a ringing or anything, but a jolly tune.

So, I don't hear lots of things.
Maybe you has a friendly spirit who can sense your elevated state of being.
-------------------- Of course it's happening inside your head. Why should that mean it isn't real?

no tune, just a whistling sound at a constant frequency that slowly started to get higher and higher till I was tripping balls, was also on a bump of methoxetamine at the time, pretty sure thats what did it

That will make a difference. Even the slightest amount of ganja or a psychedelic/entactogen can make a big difference in meditation.
