Never Underestimate the power of Cannabis

I used to smoke green for years as much as i could and have the best times of my life.

Until i quit... 2 weeks later took a medium sized bong load and
ended up in the hospital with Tachycardia (rapid heart beat) of around 150 BPM for over an hour.

it really negativity effected my life & dampened my highs since and just wanted to warn others to always compensate dosage with tolerance.. :sad:

Sucks to hear man. Bongs can get quite intense sometimes.

My heart occasionally gets rapid when I smoke even after a 24hr break, but some water and a breathing exercise always calms it down. Taking small hits can go a long way.

you went to hospital coz you took a bong rip?

sounds like you just had a low tolerance, no need to give up on mary jane :happyweed:

What did the doctors say to you? Do you plan on trying it out again?


Good thing i was with friends or i would have been in the hospital three times.

first time this happened, and also the first time i smoked marijuana i had smoked an entire joint of some dense dark green bud that was mids. I bet i smoked a little less than a gram to myself with 0 tolerance. I had smoked it outside. Then put it out went upstairs slowly laid down on my bed, and my heart was racing. I ended up pacing downstairs thinking i was died sipping on a cold water bottle, then took a hot shower. So about an hour after that i was in my bed with a normal heartbeat and went to sleep. No high whatsoever just Tachycardia.

So the second time this happened to me, i smoking a joint of some somewhat high quality bud i had little tolerance but smoked several big hits from a joint. My heart was racing, and i thought i was going to die. I had a tingling sensation in my chest also. (which could possibly be from anxiety) It lasted about 20 minutes, if even that.

third time this happened i also had little tolerance. I was a bit anxious before hand, so i do not know if this contributed. I had smoked from a waterfall bong made from an average water bottle. Filled up the chamber and took the whole hit and held it in for a second or two. I exhaled slowly and coughed a bit. I stood up and heart was pounding hard and fast, and i had that tingling feeling accompanied by a pressure in the center of my chest again i think was from anxiety. I took an aspirin because i thought i was going to die (not sure if this helped anything) And i also drank some gatorade and sat down. I burped and then my heart rate slowly went down to normal. Probably after about 20 min.
Not sure about how long either of these lasted. But i was blazed afterwards. This time it happened, i have not smoked since because i was scared this would happen again.
But i plan on getting an indica soon and just taking a hit of a joint, while on a xannax.

well they just monitered it untill it went back down and told me to stop drinking caffeine and any other drugs.

Ever since the incedint it feel as if my heart works harder than it should,
especially when exercising..

But ive smoked a tiny bit out of the same bong since and had a peaceful high :sun:

I'll report back tonight maybe ill roll a joint.

  I Smoked half a Purple Indica joint and had a good time mixing music so i smoked the other half.  :bigblunt:

Its good to have some tolerance again,
I'm certainly not getting as intense physical effects anymore.

Glad to hear.

I've always been a little prone to depression and anxiety. I used to hate weed in my early 20s I hated it. Doesn't happen now. So maybe you'll grow out of it.

If your heart starts racing just try to do something to distract yourself like cooking or washing the dishes or something. No need to freak-out and go to the hospital. You're just panicky, you're not going to die. It wears off after about 15 minutes usually, two hours at the worst.

At the time of the incident i was floored,

it was just too fast to possibly think of anything els if lying down let alone standing.
plus i was just plain freaked cause it has never happened before and it wasnt slowing down.

but if this never happened id be saying the same thing as you.

i had a very intense expereince a while ago, after a couple of fat grav bong hits.

somehow made it upstairs and just led in bed, in my own little fucked up world for a couple of hours. pretty close to freaking the fuck out :lol:

happens to everyone sometime.

I did but the weird thing is i was pretty calm mentally,
yet physically i felt like i was on crack.

guess my body wasnt used to it anymore after 2 weeks.

My Canadian friend was in BC and called 911 because he got so upset when he was stoned. The paramedics came by and laughed at him. In the wrong states in America that could turn out a lot worse.

My buddy smoked a blunt and ended up calling 911, convinced himself he was dying. By the time the ambulance showed up he was fine. Pretty embarrassing for everyone involved.

Unless i was on the floor in agonizing pain, i do not think i would call 911.
I think the only person that i have heard have SERIOUS trouble from marijuana would be, Wiccan_seeker, and he still smokes weed sometimes.

I talked to Wiccan persionally,

He was extremely unlucky and had a Heart Attack after smoking :sad:

I found that i can smoke small bowls but if i do too many, i can reach a point where i start getting some tachycardia again,
yet it only lasts a minute.
I think a break is needed.

Ok so to update I bought a $300 Vaporizer and it works wonders,
I no longer get physical effects and the high is clear headed.

One fucked up thing though is ive started to get ringing in my ears that i can notice at night when im vaped...

I think its from the vaporizer but i did have a pretty intense shroom trip a couple weeks ago.. i dont know but im going to seriously limit my cannibis consumption. life is weird.

One of my friend had an heart attack after smoking weed too... He was 18 years old at the time, we were in the cafeteria of the school... We just had smoked a huuuuuge blunt before badminton class, it was just a nightmare ... but he is still alive, and he also still smoke.

So he did have a heart attack? 100%? How do you know? And what do you mean by it was just a nightmare. Were there any other factors to this?

I know because he went to hospital in an ambulance, the students in medicine were doing the heart attack move thing to keep him alive(I have no idea what the name is in english sorry!). I was right next to him went he started feeling bad Since he is my friend and we had a class together next year, he told me.

I think my ears ring a little all the time but it seems like it's louder when I'm stoned.

I know elevated blood pressure can cause your ears to ring, happens to me sometimes when i take uppers

Once I ate this overripe mango and smoked half a joint of blueberry. I was waaay to fucked up. Couldn't even talk right. Like a non-visual psychedelic trip. My heart was pounding like shit but didnt bother me at all.

Thats how I was introduced to DMT. Basically I moved to a new place not knowing anyone so I was sober for months. Then I met this dood from the boomery and he was kind enough to pass me a hash pipe. Little did I know the pipe was heavily contaminated with DMT. I tripped ballz for 15mins like a very heavy mushroom trip only better :deemsters:

He didnt really expect that to happen though, neither did I :vaped: I tried 3 new types of drugs in 1 hour that night.

Cannabis is very powerful and I've had some really psychedelic experiences with it but it's not dangerous.

Saying marijuana gave you or your friend in high school a heart attack isn't accurate.

A heart condition was what made you have a heart attack, weed just may have set it off.

Hey sure weed can be potentially dangerous, if i had any more than one bong hit that night i feel as if i would not have made it..
I mean I'm healthy and all but the heart can only handle so much..

On the ear ringing though the doc said i had some wax shit all up in there, gave a bottle of saline nasal spray to help so ill see how that goes..

Fuck i wanna hit my vape.. but it might be the cause of the ringing :tinfoil:

From what i've read CBD helps get rid of anxiety, but high levels of THC can decrease the heart rate and low levels of THC can raise the heart rate.

I read that weed lowers your blood pressure and that necessitates a faster pulse. My understanding is that sometimes when you're stoned you feel that little increase in heart rate and it can make your nervous causing it to increase further and then it can snowball. So do yourselves a favor and chillax from the get go.

So I am not sure! I have a chemist friend who is always refering to these synthetics as cbd's. Which from experience seems to be the case. They energize more then they seem to sedate. Since wiki. Refers to these as a thc analog, it has rather baffled me at this point. Thc is a partial agonist of cb1 and cb2.  So will need to get more clarification on this.

as far as i think i know weed with more cbd like indicas relax me, and sativas energize me.

But i was smoking some indica kush the night of the heart problem :/
it was really fertalized though burned black and i can just picture a bunch of that in my bloodstream:thumbdown:.

anyways i smoked a small joint of my homwgrown skunk thats well flushed last night and will again tonight cause i cant risk more ear shit with the vape. :mad:
