I recently bought a system that cam with 2 400w lumatek ballasts and have to say i like them much better than my nextgen i was using b4.
Pros:
cheaper than Nextgen
Dimmable and runs both MH/HPS, plus has a super lume setting for 15-30% more lumens
runs cool and silent
No fans built in for cooling like my nextgen( thats how my nextgen 1000w died, fan stopped running and the "auto off" function thats supposed to save the ballast from burning out failed)
Cons:
The only con i know of is a friend of mine bought two 400w ones, like mine and one of them slightly underpowered the bulbs, but he returned it and they gave him a new one with no questions asked.
