Counting Flowering Weeks

So, out of curiosity, do you start counting how many weeks your plant has been in flower as soon as you flip to 12/12, or do you start to count once you notice it has made the switch and started to "bud" (not counting preflowers).

I'm just wondering if the breeders factor in that (up to) 2 week stretch before the plant makes the full switch to flower mode.

I start counting on day 1 of the 12/12 cycle.

I have a buddy growing Chronic right now, and I'll be damned, I think its gonna finish up perfectly to what the breeder quoted. I've never been that lucky :lol:

From what I have heard Chronic is not that good of a strain :bongload:

I hope it gets you high though. I have had friends turn QPs of it into Hash.

What do you mean by that last statement?  breeders usually know what's what.  i mean if someone is selectively breeding then i usually assume they have those kinds of details down to a T.

Chronic is a commercial strain.  Supposed to be a producer of heavy buds.  here's an AMAZING example of what a chronic plant can do in a small space....

Well, this is the first time I've really seen a plant do 100% what it was supposed to. The Purple Haze plant hes also growing was supposed to finish up in 9 weeks as well, and its def. going to take a lot more than that.

Not that its ever wise to plan based on that, I mean, it just kinda gives you a ballpark idea, ya know what I mean?

It could very well be because one is a known (good) breeder, while the other is by a breeder thats kinda known for being shitty.

I never second guess a breeders harvest window. But sometimes I do. Like this Urban Poison cut I have. Sativa Seeds says it takes around 11 weeks. My cut only is 7.5 weeks. There is a huge difference there. 


Ive seen what Chronic can do, but I hear people have smoked blunts of it only to not get as stoned as they should. I guess I shouldn't take others words for a strain I have never puffed on.
