i don't use salt but i let it sit for a hour or 2 in the alcohol then i shake it a whole bunch. for the left overs i evaporate the alcohol the same way i melt chocolate. i put the sludge into a glass measuring cup and place it into a pot of boiling water for about 30 min, once it is not watery but a thick ass tar i let cool. scrape and roll into a ball. i like to put it on my weed to make it burn a whole lot longer cos when the fire hits it it melts into a goo again., pipes last about a half hour. not the best but eah gets the job done.

Isopropyl alcohol is an FDA approved agent for intrevenous injection. So I wouldn't be concerned about vaporizing a little bit.

 I made iso hash once and evaporated it off over a boiling pot. My whole house filled with horrible alcohol fumes. It was so terrible.
