So how exactly do I go about cleaning my piece with rubbing alcohol and salt?

yea it's not the same guy.

the other lucid wouldn't ask this question.

but to the OP, do what someone else already said.

add a little bit of course salt(regular salt is fine) and alcohol then shake it like the dickens.

repeat process until goal is achieved.

@op - soaking (preferably over night) in your iso will make it about 1000x easier. much less shaking needed. oh, and save it if you want. you can reuse it a whole bunch of times. it gets black and gross but it doesnt bother me.

if you want it done quick put salt in the bowl of the pipe and then slowly poor alcohol on top so the salt goes in the bowl. then fill a ziplock with more alcohol and salt and shake for a few minutes. rinse it all out and repeat process a few times to desired cleanliness.

if you got time. let it sit in alcohol for a few hours.

I don't think there would be any residue at all actually. But even if there is I'm sure it would easily wash away with nothing more than dipping in water.

I've always rather use simple green than iso. Id rather organic residue than anything else than im intaking. I love reusing mine thought! the older the better... to an extent. I had mine for so long that it turned to like a thick water. sorta like jelly....was disgusting! But id say keep it for four months if you clean once a week. THat way its always safe chemicals cleaning and just enough chunks to be "abrasive". For the first cleaning with a new batch a i alwasys ad salt aswell.

Not in every situation does organic mean "healthy"

As long as you rinse good and let dry completely there should be no iso in there and even if there was it wouldn't be nearly enough to make any difference in health...
