 how do YOU purge your butane honey oil?

Just did my first extraction the other day, went alright but i didnt purge it very well..
i let it air evap for about an hour or so then hot water bath for about another hour or so then scrapped it up and smoked some but could totally taste the butane so i let it sit out over night and it got bubbly but they never actually escaped.
how do you guys purge your BHO?

I usually give it a hot water bath right away.
Some people for the lack of a better term, whip it. Kind of crush it real fine like a powder and let it all get some air. Sometimes refereed to as budder

Are there any threads about making extracts and working with them and stuff? Cuz I don't really know what a bunch of these extracts are like ear wax and budder and full melt/half melt..
This dispensary has some pretty decent chronic for 99 bucks/oz. I wouldn't smoke it but its perfect for making extracts, just want to learn as much as I can as fast as I can. Thanks for the help/advice all. I'm stooooned off this honey oil right now haha
