I don't mean the process of topping, I completely understand that (couldn't be easier lol) but I'm wondering what exactly triggers a plant to grow 2 main stalks from one main stalk, just by breaking it off?
I can't help but wonder why this magic works haha.
-------------------- Of course it's happening inside your head. Why should that mean it isn't real?
it is due to the top of the plant is not reciveing the auxins any more and it is rediverted to the next set of tops i.e. same as lst but you are not forcably causing trama to the plant. look into lst and you will find what im talking bout.
-------------------- Everyone are you ready for doom, Because I've blackened the sun, And I've bloodied the moon. I bring gloom when I step in the room, With the fumes of a tomb. flowers bloom when Im taken away
Quote: The result will be a redistribution of the auxins and other hormones that normally collect in the tissue of the terminal leader's tip. These ho moans will be redistributed to dormant buds that reside in the nodal axis where the leaf petiole attaches to the "trunk", below the cut. The new foliar output response will be quick (within 24 hrs., see photo below) if you have a healthy growing seedling and will be your future main colas
From the thread you linked me, for any other curious parties browsing my thread that might be too lazy to click the link
Thanks friend!
