Woah T-Rex no need for bashing the xbox. Xbox live service is damn good. When it comes to quality online gaming out of all three consoles. Xbox live is superior, just sayin. Well at least here in the U.S. Yeah the PSN is free but I bet you at some point in the future Sony will undoubtedly start charging a fee.

Nah I don't have anything against X-Box, I've just been a PS guy since birth And PSN better not start charging or I'll be super pissed, that's next to the only reason I'm bothering to fix the ethernet port on mine

And enjoy your Yellow Light of Death. Same exact thing. I've had an xbox and a ps3, and they both died on me.
XBOX is the superior gaming console IMO. While the PS3 is a better entertainment console solely for the blu ray and web browser.
Also, who ever complains about the price of xblive is just a cheap ass. 50 bucks over the course of 12 months is nothing.
I just find it funny how whenever somebody brings up the topic of a console, somebody has to say "so and so console sucks, or this one is superior" WHO CARES. Everybody has their own preference, play what you play.

the only thing i hate about the ps3 are the controllers, and i used to play ps2 all day.
but the xbox controllers are way better for me

as an owner of ~18 different video game systems I can say I know a bit about video games and I absolutely hate the xbox. Granted they are getting better now that they've been in the industry a little while but I still don't see anything the xbox does that's new or better then any other system.

Sony offers an optional service similar to xbox live now, called Playstation Plus. Its only $50/year I might try it out.
The hardware specs of the PS3 are undeniably better, its fact. Also, its a more reliable system with a lower failure rate (article here)

There are tons of great titles for both systems, so that argument is void.

Interesting fact, Sony spent around $400 million to develop the processor used in the PS3. Its also badass it was developed in my city (Austin)

I did that on the first one cause it was 1st-generation. I got it fixed for free ONE time, then a few months later it broke again and they wouldn't fix it...
The next one I got wasn't a 1st generation so they dont fix em.

I'll add you guys, but IDK how long I'll be allowed on PSN. I recently softmodded my PS3 and I figure its just a matter of time until they find out and ban me.
Also - I traded away my 360 because I hated the controllers. IDK, I just couldn't get used to it. Even after like 7 months of having it. I'd rather have my PS3 any day.

i prefer the xbox controllers myself, better ergonomically designed imo.
funny how these threads always turn into xbox vs ps3.
i got both and theres really hardly any difference between them, but i prefer xbox live over PSN, even though it costs me nearly a whole £1 a week.
but for build quality and reliability IME sony win, ive had 3 xbox's and nearly the same time period ive had the same ps3.

Yea ive been a playstation guy since i was a kid when i got my first ps3 that shit broke on me...luckly i had the warranty so they sent me a new one in like 6 days

Yours really wasn't too bad (but I had the volume way down)
but I heard a lot of kids coming in so fuzzy it sound like my electric razor is learning to talk or picking up there game and it's annoying as hell
