I can remember when these guys were at the top of their scene.  I had a couple of their albums in high school.

I love the pumpkins!  saw them down in tucson years ago.  cypress hill opened for them.  that was :vaped:.  During tonight tonight, right when the first uptempo begins my shrooms kicked in and it started raining at the same time.  the place went crazy and so did my psyche.  fuckin amazing.  that show was on 09/16/07.  Paramore played too but i didn't see them.  fuckin love live music.  if i was a millionaire i would definitely be a man of the road, following around a few bands.

Sorry folks but I just have always fuckin hated this band.  The music is okay although I wouldn't say I'm in love with it but I just cannot stand Billy Corgan's vocals.  He has no range and no pitch.  It just always sounded like he was either whispering or growling.  What's even worse is The Smashing Pumpkins were another of those bands like Nirvana or Nine Inch Nails that every generation X-er was expected to like.  When I'd tell my friends I didn't like them I'd always get a WHY?!  I could never understand why they got so much esteem from X either.  They weren't a grunge band and they weren't hard rock either they were just some lame whiny alternative band.

meh its like what I said earlier.  Gen X-ers get so pissed off when you insult their favorite bands.  A lot of times they act like you're insulting them when you don't like what they like.  And the Pumpkins is one of those bands either they can't understand why you don't like them or they get all pissy.  I remember when those douche bags kept wearing those Kurt Cobain In Memoriam shirts.  God I thought that fad would never end.

Jefferson each to their own man. I personally don't listen to any band just because that's whats "popular" at the time. I'm very open when it comes to music and I often hear what you're saying about his vocals. I had the same view for a while of his vocals too. Until I got really baked one day and listened to them. You can't deny the awesome sound from some of their songs.

Back to the good vibes though :feelshighman:

Seems like people would get more pissed over your shitty "I have better tastes then you" attitude.

p.s I don't really like them either.
