of a converation. it began with relating to a friend a conversation with some jehova's witnesses this afternoon. one lady brought up the analogy of a diamond within a pile of cubic zirconium in relation to finding complete truth.
11:25pm once you have that diamond there is no longer any reason to search through the pile because you've found the diamond but then you didn't place that diamond there for all you know there could be dozens more diamonds in that pile and youll never know unless you keep searching
11:27pm exactly man. its the same reason everytime i think ive found what im looking for i keep searching. its hard to settle for truth. i spent 17 years in a southern baptist church thinking i had it.
11:28pm being told you had it
11:29pm yep its just crazy going from having it to not at all the struggle is coming to terms with realizing youll never have it ALL i think
11:29pm there is no struggle, there is only release like realizing that you don't have to completely know that living life in complete wonderment is all right live well do good don't be afraid not much else matters really doctrines they're semantics if there is a god he's infinitely more complex than our minds could possibly comprehend to pretend as though you know is extremely audacious as thomas jeferson said question everything with boldness if there is a god, then surely he would respect the homage of reason over that of blind faith personally ive been leaning towards the blind watchmaker htat if there was a creator then he only set the ball in motion and has no active part in this universe
11:33pm been reading richard dawkins?
11:33pm whatever force governed the initial mathematics of our universe has no hand in its continuity actually no never read anything by dawkins i think he's kind of a cocky douche i respect him very much but i think he's a bit close minded
11:34pm haha he is definitley. but the god delusion is good. taken from an opened minded perspective that i didnt have when i originally read it it just made me a douche
11:35pm thats one major thing to be so weary of when reading an enlightening text you feel a profound sense of understanfding but its relative im reaching out now this is the point where im digging beyond my own limits not limit but i dont know no solid foundation
11:37pm its hard man. trying to be reasonable when you think youve found the answer.
11:39pm exactly relinquish the thought of having the answer once you have it, you're no longer searching
11:41pm it took me like three years to realize that man. im finally getting to be the atheist that isnt a douche about it haha.
11:46pm right on now try to be the macophile that isnt a douche about it like thats even possible jaykaaaaay i mean i am its werid i love mac but i hate defending any top dog ive always found myself defending points of view that are obviously wrong but i just feel that somebody needs to do it and sometimes it sjust a test of wit when i speak i know exactly what the other could say to completely refute my argument im kind of just waiting for them to do it but it doesnt happen so i end up kind of douching i spose
i mean, you guys being such an insignificant part of my life.. for some reason i felt i should share this with you.
IT'S ALL LIES!!! there is no such thing as ________!!!!
