First it is probably best off not to open the door for them. Just go down to the station and tell them your neighbor was chillin at your house and you were nextdoor or whatever and he didn't wanna answer the door, and you'd like to know why there was a police officer at your house. It is usually best to go to them whenever something like this happens, especially if theres anything at your home that you don't want them to see.
If by chance they do get you to open the door or whatever, if you have to talk to them at all you tell them that you don't know what they are talking about and you'd like to hire a lawyer before further questioning.
