Mold/Budrot or what have you
    #475888 - 09/12/10 12:04 AM (6 years, 2 months ago)

Checked out my last remaining plants today. They're both doing great. They're speedqueen and chrystal. The chrystal is lookin dank...all trich'd up and smellin really good. But I noticed some browning at the tips of 2 colas....looking further it was clearly mold or rot. I snipped the shit off and saw that it was mold in the center of the trimming. We've got about 2 1/2 weeks left of the season. I've never experienced mold or rot. Just curious how quickly it can spread and if I should just harvest her early. I can check on her at least twice a week...so I'm hoping that's enough to be able to keep a handle on it.

Any advice is appreciated.

Keep your eye on her. Sometimes cutting out the bad parts works but in most cases it spreads like wild fire.

A friend had a green house of killer buds and ignored the mold since it was so close to harvest. 2 days later and 90% of his crop was destroyed.

Good to know. Thanks magash.
Fortunately I've got a pretty light work week ahead of me.  I'll be able to keep a sharp eye on her.

It's been a bit wet out my way as well lately. Figures it was dry as fuck and hot as hell all summer but when I need less rain the weather does the opposite.  I've been checking on the plant every otherr day and the mold doesn't really seem to be spreading too much. Luckily for me we've got a full moon next week so I'll be rippin her before then. I wish I could just grow indoors. It would be so much easier to stay on top of these issuses that pop up.
