Hot knife is the only thing I ever used. I had about a gram of it a long time ago. I have been thinking of making my own anyway. :shrug:

I watched a VICE news video about the stuff and I have seen it made in documentaries and grow videos, but never seen it made in real life. All the talk about explosions kinda scared me away from it, but I figured it was just morons not knowing what they were doing anyway.

How much bud/trim do you need for a nice amount (say 4 grams)?

Yield all depends on your method and the solvent used, and how potent you want it to be.
I think you would be looking at about 3-4 ounces trim to get 4 grams of potent stuff.

Wet or dry? I think that's a dumb question, but I cant remember the steps to making it. I would want it to be strong, hell I would be the only one smoking it. I got a bunch of trainwrecks about to finish and I am wanting to do something else besides bubble hash with the trim. Oil sounds easy and clean to smoke, a bit easier on the lungs, and better smell.
I hate the idea of using solvent, plus I've never done anything like evaporating the solvent out of anything. Only extraction I have ever done before was a cold water one with some opiates.

I love bubble hash, but man it is some work. Last time I did bubble hash I had a ton of trim and it was a bitch working in those 5 gallon bags. The oil is something I just want to try for a cleaner smoke. My coughing has been getting horrible, but all I smoke is joints. Cant afford a nice vape right now so I figured I would dab it up while I wait.lol
Hell people around here are shocked that anyone even has hash.lol. Some don't even know how to smoke it when they do get it.lol.

i know people who can pull 7+g of potent BHO shatter from an ounce of flower. ive pulled 3g off an oz of trim/shake and im terrible :lol:
