Flushing between veg/flower Need answer NOW!!!
    #464715 - 08/21/10 09:29 AM (13 years, 7 months ago)

Hey guys 'bout to head off to hempfest but I am going to switch the lighting in my closet.  Should I flush before I switch the lighting or just change the nutes? I'm growing in soil, Scrog style with organic botanicare nutes. Plant have been going for about 1 1/2 to 2 months. Trying to get an answer within an hour. thanks guys!

Some people like to flush out all the nitrogen before they switch.  Too much nitrogen during flowering will lead to a little more stretching and leafier buds.

In my circle we continue to feed veg nutes for the first week or two of flowering. A lot of hydrogrowers do the same by vegging and adding flowering nutrients gradually before changing the reservoir to full flowering nutrients. Some people don't even change their reservoir. A user on ICMAG that ran flood tables grew many crops on a large scale (6lights) and didn't do reservoir changes, often even using single part nutrients (CNS17 or Floranova).

Simple answer is no, definitely no need to flush when switching to flowering. I'd also wager that you would get better results feeding veg nutrients for the first week of flowering as this has been my experience in the past.
