Can fan vs Vortex

I don't know if this video is biased or not but it seems like the can fan is clearly superior, quieter, and cheaper!

What do you all think?

I saw this video a while ago.  I always take shit like this with a grain of salt.  Were both those units brand new out of the box?  Did they have equal CFM Ratings?  Is this even a good test to determine which one has more/better output?

More information would validate this video more.

I saw that one too. Man if one fan has a slightly slower startup time that is going to happen. Someone should perhaps research the physic's of airflow. To accurately test flow of the fan you would need proper equipment to measure the CFM flow coming out the pipe. Which Ding Ding Ding, the goddamn manufacturer does. What a tool!

I know someone who tested a new 6" can fan when it's rated at 435cfm.

The video states this isn't a show of CFM it's a show of pressure ie. static pressure. Basically the same thing as torque, how many CFM's are going to be maintained under given resistance.

Right! CFM's will be affected by the housing and blade design.

So what did your friend determine as the airflow of the 425cfm Can Fan?

Opps, I had brought it up to mention what he found.

He found the 6" 435CFM can fan to actually deliver 600CFM in his test and found the 10" canfan max to be the best investment.

What pipe are you referring to?

I think he means the output/exhaust on the fans
