 speeding up dl speed

i use vuze to download torrents and it is by far the best out of everything ive used (utorrent) etc but lately its been slow as fuck it took me almost a day to download a bluesbreakers album when it used to for example download the vus entire discography in a day any ideas on how to get my dl speed to where it used to be?

I use Vuze as well and my downloading speed is fucked too

I'm thinking so, do you use the search option on it? I have started using Isohunt.com to get my torrents and it has sped up a bit

I am not sure about vuze but utorrent was a good one then after they released an update it slowed severely. if your client(vuze, utorrent) is running fine then make sure that you do not have auto update enabled. if a new update comes out check the clients website and see if others start having a problem with it or check one of the many torrent forums to see if other have your same problem and might have a fiz. I still use utorrent but I use an older version of it because when they got taken over by someone else their client just went down hill. major memory leaks.

I use demoniod to get my torrents as well, i have used piratesbay and iso hunt too but demoniod for most of them
I use utorrent 1.6 build 489 and remember to give as much as you take, thats what keeps the community of torrents going.

You should seek out private invite only sites.
I use bitgamer for games, bitmetv for tv, what.cd for music, bitme for education. Public places like pirate bay and demonoid arnt quite as good and are less secure.

Yea, I guess it is 'technically' private. But the invites are easy as hell to get and it acts very much like a public tracker.

Those who have a 1to 1 ratio sometimes are offered an invite to give out but you are responsible if that person does not keep a good ratio or so it says when they give one to give out

That used to be the rules, but ever since the site went down, and people started having problems their ratio updating correctly, its gone to a kind of public tracker, and as long as you keep above a .6 ratio you are fine.

I see a lot of people with very low ratio lately, and they are usually the ones complaining about the downloads lol

If you download from any of the know sites, your ISP will slow down your connection. You have to find a private torrent site (more like be invited) and also should really never download from a public site unless you need too. Also you should block the IP addresses of the authorities.
But that is from downloading back in 1994 from private FTP sites, all the way up till today with private torrent sites. Sorry, you are being taken advantage of because your ISP knows the IP address range of the bad sites trackers and purposely slows your connect to a halt. Otherwise their just ain't enough seeders.
