 Medical Card for Sickle Cell

I was wondering if there was anyone out there who got there card for having Sickle Cell. I've had the conversation with my doc, and he doesn't have a problem prescribing medical cannabis... But he seems to think the wording in our states bill may stop me from getting it. Our bill states people with Chronic and Severe pain are eligible, but I suffer from Severe Episodic pain. Is there anyone out there with any suggestions for me.

 I was always taught in school that black people have an extreme disposition to sickle cell. Like apparently they have it if their eyes are all yellow. No shit I remember them coming into class in elementary school to pass out pamphlets on it and check people's eyes.

But since you ask I am black, and the thing about the yellow eyes is true and quite common among sickle cell patients. Usually referred to as jaundice. The disease is most common among African Americans but is also found in Middle Easterners, people of Spanish descent, and people from parts of Southern Italy.
